Editorial: Keystone deserves a fair hearing from PSC


Omaha World-Herald - Nebraskans are back atop a national debate over energy needs, fossil fuels and water safety after President Donald Trump approved a permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.

A contentious process during the state’s first foray into the pipeline route resulted in wisely moving it farther from sensitive parts of the Ogallala Aquifer.

The Nebraska Public Service Commission needs to consider TransCanada’s route application on its merits and avoid getting bogged down by emotional appeals.
